I doubt that you'll have the problems that I've seen with some horn stems that can be eaten away by bacteria from saliva (looks like moth holes) that render the stem unusable. That has happened to some of my horn knife handles and I always thought it was a bug that had chewed into it! Never imagined that it could be a bacteria!

I know I don't post much over here on the pipe side but I do occasionally smoke my pipes. With all of the deals going on at P&C for the holidays I've picked up a few things lately:

Got this shipment from Cigars International in the mail yesterday. Got some tins for the cellar and the Montecristos were free with the order.

28 tins of assorted dunhill, 2 orlik golden sliced, 2 orlik Kentucky and then went on Pipestud and saw 4 tubs of Velvet from 1980 for sale at $50 each. I negotiated with Steve to buy all four for $150. Sending two to my buddy Brad in Florida and keeping the other two for myself. I’m done buying for a long time.
