I hear the talk about the merge a while back but didn't know if it had happened or not yet.
I've not noticed any difference, but then I don't really know if I'm smoking pre or post merge tobacco.

I believe that they all piled into one of the factories for economy of scale. The merger was about 2 years ago so I suspect that most commercially available tobacco (now) would be post-merger and if, as @Branzig has found, there isn't much difference if any at all that's a good sign.

Well, I followed up with P&C about the backordered McClelland 2015, from the sale previously mentioned, and received this response.
Thanks for choosing Pipes & Cigars! We appreciate your concern for the backordered tobacco. We are working with the manufacturer to resolve this. Unfortunately, we had an unexpected delay restocking this and do not expected back in stock date.
I wonder how long it would actually be to wait.
I kind of feel like if I cancel it, they win.
Also, what in the world is "do not expected back in stock date."?
