Pound each of Rimboche SJ, Ryback Gold and Three Sails.....

Like my father before me, I will work the land,
And like my brother before me, I took a rebel stand.

    Alas, tis true.

Have you seen this guy on teh 'bay? All his stuff is 9mm tenon - which is 0.354. Should be easy to sand down the 10 grand to fit a 11/32 cob pipe.
I don't like that they all seem to be the 'filter type' but what the heck...

Pipe Smoking Accessories items in stem blank store on eBay!

They look nice but, unlike the Forever stems which are all one piece, those fitted tenons look thin and none too sturdy to begin with. I wonder how they'd hold up in a cob after reducing the wall even further.

Well you'd only be taking 0.005 off per side so I don't see a problem there. That and if they're bored for a 6mm filter - like they probably are - then they're likely just as strong at the joint as the OE stem... and I've never broken an OE stem... I've just chewed the bit till they've cracked. The biggest thing I don't like about the presence of a filter cavity is that you pretty much have to disassemble the pipe to clean it good because a pipe cleaner is like a hotdog in a hallway going thru that empty 1/4" cavity. I usually line the cavity with a porcelain tube and fit that to the bit... but that is another story...

Wow, that's a great pipe at a nice price. Marty Pulvers is a big fan of Il Ceppo, and Marty knows his pipes. I have a feeling it will be a great smoker. Score!

I already have several Il Ceppo pipes, all great smokers. This guy has been listing some really nice pipes, some new, and they've been going without bids. I don't understand why, but I was happy to get this one at such a great price.

I'll keep my eye on those! Let me know if you are after one though. I don't want to bid against you. No point in us raising each other's prices

Ser Jacobo R2 Straight | eBay

    Edit: I didn't win it.

Man, I've got to stop looking at this thread!

It is killing me. We are in the process of adoption; no one in particular - we just feel the desire to help a child that needs a family. Therefore, both PAD and TAD have taken a hard stop to help pay for adoption stuff. I know I'll be able to get back to it one day, but it sure is killing me.

One second thought, keep posting. At least I can live vicariously!
And if you are of the inclination, please do pray for us in this process; and pray for our future adopted family member's safety, in the meantime!
