I've never heard of Capitello, but the one linked to is gorgeous!
I think one of these would be sweet to have, I can't get over how amazing it looks with the combination of the carving and the contrasting colors. I first saw it in a Dagner's YouTube video a week or two ago.

I have been lately interested in getting a Peterson with a fishtail bit. One that caught my eye recently is the Aran (150):

but I am also interested in a lovat shape, like the Killarney (53):

I also wouldn't say no to the Around the World Australia (606):

That Killarney 53 is a bitchin pipe - love that shape.
If I could, I'd get a Walt Cannoy Meerschaum – Billiard. With a mile long waiting list, I doubt the day would ever come.

Agreed! I've got my eye on a Peterson 53 over at Cup 'O Joes.

I'm still very new to pipes so I've just been thinking about getting this Dr Grabow

Or this starter kit.

What do you guys think of the starter kits out there? I'd like one that comes with a carrying case.
Dr. Grabow has one, if you're looking for a more affordable range. Mine smokes pretty well.

Hi Ryan,
Man, this pic slapped me with some memories.
Castello makes wonderful pipes and they're expensive, (I'm smoking my only one as I write) but they hold value well. This bent egg, with the acrylic ferrule and military mount is a fairly rare Castello shape and treatment, understated elegance.
This shape, in a fiammata grade, almost caused me a world of grief with SwissAir customs around 1982 (the memories).
You've got a good eye and thanks for posting.
As far as what I'm eyeballing, it's always Barling and Ser Jacopo. I search on other brands but those two is a several time a day thing for me.
Pete
I'm pretty easy, just want to remember to get one or two of these next time I order tobacco. I still haven't tried a cob yet.
