I tried some FVF the other day. 15 secs was enough for 1 flake, but you need to let it sit for a few minutes after coming out. It will dry up as its sits. 25 secs was too much and it became a bit crunchy. Each individual microwave may vary.

I ruined a good flake last weekend microwaving it for 15 seconds. I waited for it to cool down and when I went to stuff it in my pipe it crumbled up too much. Tried to smoke it anyway and it didn't have any flavor. I guess I nuked it too long.
I have tried the SG Grousemoor and yesterday Ennerdale for the first time. I did not find them offensive in the least. The Ennerdale was more mellow than I was expecting and I enjoyed them both! In my opinion, the Grousemoor had more of the perfumy/ Lakeland essences (as I understand them to be) than the E. I am looking forward to my next bowl of Ennerdale.
I read this thread yesterday, and wasn't sure if yall were joking or serious.
I have some St James flake that came really wet, so I tried using the microwave to dry it last night. Even though it was still a bit moist after being nuked it tasted a bit "flat". So I tried again with a bit of my last tub of PA (which came wetter than usual). The PA lost some of it's nuttiness and it's cocoa flavors with only 6 seconds of nuking.
I don't think I'll ever repeat this experiment.
