Here is my only other meer. Some cheapy I picked up and regretted. I wasn't even going to bother breaking it back out, but what the heck, it's only MMM once a year. Currently burning some ODF in it.

Well, basically it's a piece of junk The draw is ok, and it smokes dry, but the bowl is at a weird angle and that little lip on the top makes it very difficult to light. Also, the drilling is centered, but the bowl is crooked. I haven't figured out how to get a decent smoke out of it. Luckily, it is a fairly inexpensive regret. I do still occasionally smoke it from time to time, hoping I'll figure out the right combination of variables to make this thing click.

Wow! So this wasn't no cheapo pipe then! Good to know and I'll enjoy it a little more!

I have yet to get my hands on a meer.
What are some good brands to look for?

Apparently SMS is a good brand! I actually do like mine. It smokes great but I might think about getting a shorter stem. I like churchwardens but something about this one just doesn't work well for me.
