    Jars

Many folks use Mason jars for keeping pipe tobacco, but I like Weck jars better:

They're available in different sizes. All glass with a rubber sealing ring, and two stainless steel clips to hold the glass lid on. I buy them at my Crate & Barrel B&M.

Do you use those for long term storage or just for what you are currently smoking?
Check out my Youtube channel, Razorback Piper Guy if you like that sort of thing.

I use them for stuff that I'm currently smoking, but at a low rate. But they'd work for long term storage too. These are canning jars. If they didn't seal securely, food would go bad.

Those are sharp looking, but a little rich for my blood. If my cellar weren't so large I would consider those a great option to have on the shelf in my study.
