Humidity Control of Pipe Tobacco!
I searched and found a few threads discussing this but they where all older and no one posted any results. Does any one use boveda packs in there mason jars to control and stabilize humidity. Also could one be used to dry out a particularly wet mixture such as Sutliff Molto Dolce. I have a tin of it and it actually will leave residue on your fingers when you handle it. My father in law is also a pipe smoker and had some of this same tobacco and he said he will let it sit out and dry for several days before he smokes it.Thanks ahead of time for your responses.

No Boveda packs in pipe tobacco jars.
Why would you want to use one to dry out a tobacco when just leaving the lid off will do the same thing?
I've cellared wet blends in mason jars with the lid disk upside down. Lets them dry out slowly - also lets that awful Lakeland stink go away.
Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

The only time I've ever added humidity was when a blend got too dried out.
Some blends like Sam Gawith flakes or McClelland Dark Star (which I sadly only have 1 tin left of), I will open the tin and leave it open overnight. Even then, it still sometimes requires a little drying time before smoking. Those things come wet.
Check out my Youtube channel, Razorback Piper Guy if you like that sort of thing.

Pipe tobacco isn't as picky as cigars regarding humidity. Plus it's a matter of personal taste. I like mine dry, but if it gets too dry, I'll spritz a little distilled water in the jar. If I get a goopy aromatic, I'll leave the lid off for a few days.
I have used bovedas for drying out homemade blends, particularly ropes - they're so wet that if I don't get the moisture down to reasonable, they'll go moldy.
You oughta know not to stand by the window, somebody see you up there.
