The Gatlin-burlier Tobacconist in trouble with the Feds
Bad News! The Gatlin-burlier has been ordered to discontinue shipping tobacco by some federal agency (probably ATF and/or IRS). It has something to do with the fact that they blend their own tobaccos and the feds have decided that this puts them in the category of tobacco manufacturers. They are now being held responsible for around $300,000 of back taxes associated with this. Let's hope and pray this doesn't shut them down. Their tobacco blends are superb and have consistently high ratings on Tobaccoreviews.com. And if you've ever been to the store, you know that Richard and his staff are the best of the best. He never rushes you or puts pressure on you to buy anything and he loves to talk.

Probably because of the anti-government rant in the right-hand sidebar of their site. It's getting so that you're not allowed to speak out against the gestapo these days without fear of persecution. Well you can if you're a member of some politically correct group - I.E. you can rail against 'homophobic policies' of the government all day long in the name of gay rights - but the untermenschen (tobacco purveyors and smokers, and other undesirables) must keep silent and obey.
Let's hope they have good lawyers. 'Justice' is expensive these days.

I heard that they will be able to resume shipping tobacco in a week or two.

Great news!
I wonder how much 'justice' has cost them so far.

Bummin' a smoke
And yet the penalty for illicit drugs would be less, probably!
