Favorite Bulk Blends?
Well - what are they? The smokingpipes Top 100 thread got me thinking of just that. Mine are:
4Noggins Bald Headed Teacher
4Noggins Trout Stream
4Noggins Nutty Professor
GH Rum Twist and Brown Bogie
But the main bulk I keep in rotation is....My Own Blend - I call it Flensburger Fjord, from where I used to live up on the German/Danish border. I have it blended with:
3oz Red VA
2oz Toasted Burley
2oz DFK
1oz TBC
Love the stuff.

My favs would be:
P.S. Luxury Bullseye Flake
Sam Gawith FVF (I'm counting the 250g box as bulk)
Sam Gawith Navy Flake (I'm counting the 250g box as bulk)
H&H Vermont Meat Candy
I guess most would not fall in the "blends" category, though.

Bryan, you make a good point about what we think of as bulk, or what mixtures are available as bulk (like the Sam Gawith Navy Flake). The definition is subjective and my sensibilities probably derive from my store where we bought in larger quantity. Going forward, I'll consider anything not in a vacuum tin and over sample size (2 oz) as bulk.
I've always thought of Marlin Flake as a tin (and still do) but last year I bought a kilo that was factory packaged in only heavy plastic (no box).
My favorite bulk would probably be Gawith Hoggarth Louisiana Flake in 500 gram boxes (factory packaged) and in not factory packing perhaps McClelland #2110.

The rotation is always changing. But my one true love is McClelland Virginia/Perique Flake! Try it

I have only just ordered any bulk from online, I ordered a tin of Rattray's for the Newbe Pipe Trade , Great program by the way !. So I will say
that as far as bulk it has been from a B&M and I believe it was Stutliff's Altidias blends,They called them the Scotchman and Maple. I do enjoy
the burley aros, so I guess I'm weird....

It smokes good! Smokes as well as any Peterson system pipe. It is a dedicated aromatic tobacco pipe.
