Dr. Grabow stem repair

Has anyone used the stem replacement service that the Dr. Grabow factory offers? At $12 it sounds like a good deal but it's only for Dr. Grabow pipes.

No, I got some Grabows that need new stems. Thought I would give it a try.

STEM REPLACEMENT AND BUFFING SERVICE
We still offer our very popular pipe stem replacement and buffing service for $12.00 per pipe (plus $3.00 shipping and handling for up to four pipes). Periodically, we receive pipes which are burnt out or have completely broken or cracked shanks. Sadly, these cannot be repaired and should not be sent in for repair.

I've actually had luck finding old Grabows at flea markets and antique shops and with a little coaxing the stems can be made to fit...but that takes effort. Who has time for that?

I'd say give it a shot and report back on the quality of their service.
