I did pass english, really.
Hi George,
Pass English? With this sentence you could have passed French, Russian, Latin and the Bar! It covers a range of human experience that brings tears to my eyes. It's brilliant! You explore the paradox of man, over time, in a single sentence. I'd begin my doctoral thesis by breaking the sentence into it's three coherent parts;
I like it be could --- totally understand some wouldn't consider it --- their cup of tea.
Toddler - Trying to express an opinion that they can not form.
Young man - Certain in their own opinion, cordial to a differing opinion but with an undertone of hostility.
Mature man - Acceptance that their opinion and others can mutually exist (but expressed in a homily that shows disdain and contradiction).
I hope you don't mind the gentle ribbing. I've written and posted sentences that were understood by no one, including me.
Pete
