I'm a fan of John Patton Moe's Confetti and Storm Front (this one has some Latakia apparently but I don't notice it like most other Latakia blends). Cube cut I like, but I have yet to find the perfect dryness so it will burn worth a damn or it's too dry (also have not tried very hard). Semois is so unique (but good) that it is tough to compare with standard burleys.

Pirate Kake seems to only have burley as a garnish among the latakia, heh! Agreed, semois is no ordinary burley - more like a chopped cigar. Also add me down as another who the Irish Flake grew on. The first bowl I had I wasn't taken, but after the tin being opened for a few months it smoothed right out and become a very pleasant, savoury, after dinner smoke
