Bijou Mold?

I'm sure there is a thread buried on this somewhere in the depths because I'm late to the party here but have any of y'all had issues with Bijou? I read about the problems with Carolina Red Flake but did not realize Bijou had similar problems. Saw a video from this month with someone showing a bad tin.

I have 6 tins, opened one last night to jar and monitor (was hoping to sit on all of them!) It's marked 10/16. I'm hoping any problems were from earlier batches.

Any info would be great.

I've got two tins of it squirreled away here somewhere, but haven't opened one. Hope they're not moldy; haven't opened them yet.

After what you've said and seeing the video, I suppose I should find my tins of Bijou and open them up.

Both my OCT2016 tins were moldy. They shipped me replacement tins of my choice.

Were they moldy upon initial seal breakage? The tin I popped last night was fine, but I've read they can turn once opened if the spores are there. Anyone know how long that might take?

In retrospect, it smelled 'off' when I popped it. Visible mold developed in the jar within a couple weeks.
