All too often I take too long to post shortly after buying something that often leaves Me wondering how the heck I'm seeing more of a brand or size than i can account for.
Haven't smoked more than a handful of Dominicans lately. Smoked and liked some other DBL cigars and figured the Del Rey Habanos at 5x50 might be a good choice in this cold weather.
No longer have a gauge but these cigars look more like a 47 or 48 ring gauge to me.

For $20/mo, for that caliber of smokes, I would would highly likely finally pull the trigger on it for a COTM Club. Everywhere else I see people using is in the $30-$40 range (not that that's a bad price for what I see people receiving)

Do have one navy cigar that was made for a special event at someone's shop, and was generously gifted her last navy one, plus 2 Marines to smoke, although I gave one to a cool, old Vietnam Veteran Marine who is a pipe smoker but occassionally has a cigarillo. Put a big smile on his face, and he plans to hang on to it.
He even introduced me to his son when he visited recently and told him I was the vet who gave it to him, so he must have shown it off.
The kind lady who sent them to me was also very happy she helped make a combat vets day.
And good on your son for serving, especially in the best branch of the military.
I'm sure he will love it. I certainly did and would have stayed the full 20 years if my knees hadn't gone bad and was not allowed to reenlist.

I know Blanco has been prasied by a couple Bums, and most recently by @tfkirk . Haven't had a Blanco, and the shop had these two.
Did some digging on a cigar that was recently posted (and will go unnamed) by a Bum (who will also go unnamed!). Kelner popped up as the blender or distributor through his factory. Meant to research him a bit more as I've read the name elsewhere. Saw the Smoking Jacket, and had to pick up what I think is my first Kelner cigar.
