Wellness check-in for ALL Bums
I know this is not the proper location for this, but figured this is the best place for exposure.
Please check in and post how you are doing through these difficult times. I find myself thinking and wondering about my fellow Bums and concerned about you all. Are you still working? How is Covid19 affecting your area? Are you being as safe as possible, staying home, washing hands, social distancing etc?
My wife and I are both retired and have been staying home for the last 21 days. We have make quick specific grocery runs 3 times and then head home and clean up as best we can. I told kids and grandkids to stay away, but to please call and visit often. Emotionally we are doing well. On nice days I get outside and do yard work and am getting close to having the garden ready to plant. Love doing stuff like that. I also get in a cigar once in a while.
They have not tested very many people for Covid around here (SWMO) but have had some positives. I figure there are likely more cases, but we just try our best to remain safe. Our next door neighbor is making us masks that we will use in future trips for necessities.
Please post here so we know how you all are doing.

All well here in NYC!
The wife & I are considered "essential" so we're still back and forth to work. The rest of the family are "shut-in-place".
Practicing social distancing. I wash my hands about 100 times anyway (you ever see a maintenance worker who hates to have dirty/greasy hands!) I wear nitrile gloves, but they're constantly tearing. So I just wash often.
I'm being cautious, but also think that the media is sensationalizing the situation.

Started my 2 week quarantine Friday. Couple fellas contracted the Corvid within the shipping dept. so we’ve all been sent home. Been in contact with the 2 affected and they’re feeling OK but they have families so staying at apartments/hotels to keep everyone safe.
Docs don’t wanna test me yet, but I’m in contact with them every few days. Hopefully no symptoms arise.
Stay safe out there Ya Bums and do everything you can to protect you and yours!

Thanks Brian and Joe. Please keep us updated.
Brian, I have little faith in what we are being told and I too am skeptical. But no doubt some bad shit is going on.
@WNYTONY
I would love to hear your perspective on this.

No change for me. Work, cigar, home, deal with relatives. Only thing I miss is going to the B&M. Wash rinse repeat.

Been sent home with a union contract that gives me full pay and benefits for the foreseeable future. So we found a beautiful home (killer deal) on the coast for a month. It’s only an hour or two from home. Sweet, hope all are well!
Counting boats and building puzzles with my favorite girl!
By the way the mortality rate associated with this is 1% or less. Hope it passes soon but I love the fresher air slower pace and extra space.

Steve, Thanks for checking in!
Doing well here. Kids are e-learning from home including 2 college students. Wife is teaching her classes online.
I am still going in to work, although had to take a 25% temporary pay reduction - business is way down. Working even more though as half of the company was furloughed so I am taking up some additional duties; everything from housekeeping (we cancelled cleaning services) to regulatory and executive. Of those of us that remain, half are working from home. I am able to stay isolated at work as we are spread out in the building and my office is isolated away from everyone else anyway. Can't say I don't mind the very easy commute now without any traffic.
Making very few trips out of the home; about 1 brief grocery store trip a week and nothing else besides work for the last 3 weeks.
Trying to keep my other kids and 1 year old granddaughter away, but they have popped in once or twice briefly. I made them all wash their hands upon arrival and departure. My wife thinks I am now a clean-freak; wiping & sanitizing doorknobs, light switches, handles-- all the high touch areas, several times a day; even though nobody in my house has gone out at all except the wife once or twice to the store. Doing the same in my car.
Like Steve, I am trying to get outside when I can for a walk or working in the yard as weather permits.
Hoping everyone else is safe. I will do my part to continue to contribute to the cause. I am not concerned for myself or direct family members of the illness, but I do not want to put myself, family, or co-workers into a mandatory quarantine situation (as if they aren't already by virtue.)

, I keep wondering how much of this is blown out of proportion and sensationalized.
Can't wait to get past this shit! It is going to be a long recovery.

That’s exactly how I felt Brian.
Working as an essential worker in a place that produces Water purifying and Air Purifying UV lamps mainly used in Hospitals that we would be ok. Turns out not so much. We have an ozone blow everyday before people show for work and uv lamp stations setup al over that kill all germs within an 8 feet box. 2 brothers caught the bug already even with all these precautions in place. Mainly the problem is that people ain’t doing what is right at home and then bringing it to there places of employment.
Just stay safe and do all you can to protect your loved ones bro. This pandemic doesn’t care what we think.... it just attacks and is multiplying.

Glad to hear all you Bums are doing well! We're doing well on our parts. My wife and I are both blessed that we have the ability to work from home. My son and daughter are e-learning from home. Hopefully this will end soon! Prays and thoughts are with you all!! Be safe!
