Veteran's day smokes
Any fellow veterans planning to smoke anything a little special for Veteran's day?
I don't consider it to as big a holiday as Memorial day, Thanksgiving or Christmas, so won't be dipping into my small stash of cc EL's, but do have 4 various 2016 Opus X's and a 2011 and a 2010 God of Fire in my "special occasion smokes" tupperdor that I will likely dip into finally.
Will likely try my first God of Fire in celebration. Something a little special, especially since I have never had one.
I'm sure there's a fair number of veterans here, so what are you planning for "our" special day?
If you don't mind, include your branch of service and era you served, your job during your service would be cool too. Would enjoy seeing who we have for veterans here and what branch and era's are represented.
US Navy 3/5/2001 to 3/5/2009
OEF/OIF Veteran
Avionics technician
Petty Officer 3rd Class
USS Nimitz, USS Roosevelt, and my favorite, USS Enterprise
Eta: this thread is in no way intended to solicit any kind of thanks from people, simply interested in meeting fellow veterans and about their experience, and of course, if they are smoking anything special tomorrow

My plan is to smoke the CAO America Honor that
@Tombstone
gifted me with. I hadn't seen the Green Line Honor before, so I'm intrigued. Thanks for the post,

Nice. I'm a big CAO fan, and have been for about a decade. Never had one I didn't enjoy.
Not sure if I have had the America Honor before.
Believe I smoked some "regular" Americas back in the day though.
Only. CAO's I have had within the last couple years was a ten smoke sampler that came in a hard plastic, zippered case. Forget exactly what it was called, but really enjoyed every one of them. Good to see the quality hasn't changed after 10 years like with many smokes.
Nice. There is a handful of Air Force and navy veterans here but the vast majority are army or marine Vietnam veterans.
Saudis had to suck with the heat. I know when the Enterprise was in the Persian Gulf doing some missions in Iraq, it was hot as hell on the ship.
Very opposite of the North Atlantic which was cold and very rough seas

, thanks for sharing your thoughts and prayers for our service members serving past and present.. My special smoke will likely be a Auturo Fuentes Don Carlos Lancero... Solid smoke, perfect draw...With a tip of Eagle Rare to wash it down.
U.S. Army EOD...1981-2001..Salute.

Nice smoke.
Just had my last one yesterday in fact. Always excellent in every regard
My pleasure. Since I live in an assisted living facility for disabled veterans, and there are 85 of us here, they always do something special for any holidays, especially veterans day and memorial day.
Plus, being with this many other veterans makes it hard to not think about, especially since we lose someone every few months sadly.
Almost all are Vietnam veterans, and due to age and general health problems, that generation is starting to die off unfortunately.
EOD takes gigantic iron balls.
No thanks, lol
And doing it for 20 years is incredibly impressive.

Good timing.
I joined 6 months before 9/11 happened, so, so much for my peacetime service...
