    Dry, cracked wrappers

Anyone have any ideas on why every so often i pull a Cigar out to smoke that has been in my humidor at 68 degrees and 65% rh for months and just from normal handling and cutting, the wrapper cracks in multiple places and seems very dry?

    I'm stumped.

    Dry, cracked wrappers

The ones from Cuba are better at 62%, nc’s at 65%. Ideal temp is 70 so if you’re rh is 65% at 68 degrees they may be holding at a higher %. Rumor has it there is a tool to check the humidity of individual smokes…

I used to keep all my cc's at 62% but had this problem with wrappers more frequently so I went to 65% and have had noticeably fewer issues. Also Habanos S.A. actually reccomends 65 to 70% for cc's, as does Bovada. Both being sources i would find trustworthy and accurate.

Its only happening with maybe 1 in 20 or so, so not really very common.

I have always assumed that there was a tool to check individual Cigars humidity level, but have never looked into it.

May do some googling on it today

One would think RH is Rh, but how many times have you heard this RH is great for me, but not for thee. One of those caboose scratchers.

Forgot to say that I used to have some problems like that until I got a YETI cooler. The price is higher than giraffe pu$$.....Errrrrr lovin, but how much do you have in smokes.....just sayin'.

This made me wonder what the Rh is in a giraffe pu$$. And would it crack a wrapper?

Mine stay at 62. No issues, and it's been months since I had one.

Maybe poor quality and/or thin wrappers. Happens to me every now and again, but isn't anywhere near common. If it was common, then I'd be looking at my humidor.

Yeah, I'm talking like 1 in 20 at most, so not common which seems to eliminate any issues with my storage or handling

I haven't noticed any pattern, but honestly since it happens so infrequently I haven't paid much attention to it being a specific brand or wrapper type.

I will start noting this from now on though
