I taste adhesive
I had an Olivia V the other night and I could taste some sort of adhesive, tonight I'm smoking a Ramon Bueso and I'm tasting the same thing. Now on this cigar my wrapper wants to peel a bit after I made my cut. I would think this is from too much humidity?

Maybe the wrapper peeling was due to too Cutting too much of the cap?

Strange as I have never had that issue with any cigar brand in tasting an adhesive. I'd have guessed that maybe some worker might have been overly zealous with the adhesive but with 2 different brands seems to be an anomaly unless he works at both manufacturers and loves to monkey around with stuff.

I try to take as minimal cut on the cap as I can, if the draw is tight I'll cut further, but not on that one. Just find it odd the adhesive taste

Cigar adhesive is nearly tasteless, basically. It’s usually gum arabic or some kind of vegetable derivative. So I’m wondering if what you’re tasting is actually adhesive. What’s it taste like?

That's an odd one. As the previous poster indicates, it's nigh impossible to taste cigar adhesive. Is it possible that your humidor was exposed to chemicals, e.g., did you lay carpet or paint the walls recently? Cigars do tend to pick up ambient contaminants from the air.
I had a cigar that tasted fine but then suddenly started tasting like cardboard, whereupon I discovered that I was smoking the label (SWI)
You oughta know not to stand by the window, somebody see you up there.

That's gotta be it.
