"Special Occasions" is a broad catagory ranging from births, deaths, marriages (and sometmes, divorce), new job or promotion, the list goes on. Even getting out of bed in the morning is cause to celebrate. Like @dj1340 said, I see too many people in the course of my job younger than me who are complete trainwrecks when it comes to their health. And I'm no Mr. Atlas, have health issues of my own.

I don't usually buy singles. If it's a new to me stick, I'll buy a couple. Last special occasion that I used to smoke an expensive cigar was two weeks ago, when I put my dog to sleep. He was a great dog, and it was the hardest decision I've ever made. But he deserved a celebration of life with something special.

But that was snap decision. Don't save many sticks for those special occasions. Don't need to. If I need something for say, my son getting married, all I need to do is talk to local cigar bar owner, and he'll hook me up.
