Southern Draw Peccadilloes
I have really enjoyed the handful of Southern Draw cigars I have had and was curious if anyone has tried these and what they think of them.
For $5 each to fill a small hole in next months order it seems like a good deal, but wanted some regular guy opinion, not professional reviewers.
Thanks,
Sean

I have a pack but have not smoked them yet. I have never been disappointed by a Southern Draw purchase. I like the idea its a variety of blends. Its a safe blind purchase in my book

Yeah, i do like that all 4 in the pack are different blends as i love having variety, and Southern Draw is extremely popular and well regarded, and like i said, i enjoyed the handful I have had, so guessing they are a safe bet too, especially for only $20 per 4 pack.
Already have them primed for next months order, just wanted to make sure they weren't dud, as every company occasionally makes a dud blend or one with bad construction.

So, included them in my monthly order that arrived today.
Anyone know the names of the 4 cigars in the pack?
Google search comes up empty except for 2 mentioned in reviews.
Anyone who can tell me the name for each different band would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sean

Ok, for those interested in being to identify them by sight, here's what i scrounged up online and scanning the QR code on the packaging:
No.7 Nettle-black lettering and the darkest wrapper
No. 8 Laurel-barber pole wrapper
No.9 Lupine-grey lettering, 2nd lightest wrapper
No.11 Hyacinth-yellow lettering, lightest wrapper
None of this is 100% positive due to the lack of pictures with names, and had to be made via several sources, but I'm reasonably confident in the identification.

I had the same issue of identification when I first got them.
Then I discovered the names just left of center at the bottom of the band.

Ah, i looked and never saw that. I have bad eyesight too begin with, plus cataracts, so i couldn't read the fine print.
Thanks for posting that. I will look at them again to verify that my post is correct and edit it if it isnt.
ETA: zooming in on the photo i can read well enough to verify my post is accurate for those who can't read it in the picture or on the label.
Thanks again, much appreciated

I have. It was quite a while ago, and I don’t recall the order in which I like them.
I think I liked the Lupine the most. Either the Nettle (barber pole) or the Laurel (Maduro) surprised me in that I thought I would like them better than I did.
I think I ranked them Lupine > Hyacinth (Connecticut) > Nettle (Maduro) > Laurel (Barber pole)
I still have a few packs. I may have to revisit.

Will be trying my first one this afternoon as it won the luck of the draw from my pre-embargo, classic RyJ scene, big , heavy, perfectly air tight, glass, brass and leather cigar jar I was given and am using as a "daily smokes" container to just hold 1ea of 40 various different smokes that I just draw random ones from for the day, rather than thinking about what I want every time.
Little more fun being surprised.
Anywho, its the No.9 Lupine, which naturally is the only one that
@Nature
didn't list the specific wrapper for, and no real details are available anywhere, but it has a reddish brown rosado look to me, although this is far from my area of expertise.
Will post my thoughts on it in this thread so all this good info comes up easily found under a search for them, vs just quickly getting buried in the "what did you smoke today " thread.
