True Derelict
Sorry for my absence
Hey, y'all. My apologies for the long absences here. Life has been busy, and it seems like there is never enough time to do everything on the list lol.
Where were we? Ok, most of y'all knew the horror story of '19 for me. It was brutal. But, God carried me through, and at the end of it, my family was reunited and reconciled.
I'm very blessed with a sweet, but physically and mentally demanding gig. It's an awesome schedule, I haven't had weekends off in YEARS. It's also the highest paying job I've ever had, although that's not saying much lol. I'm the yard foreman here in Springfield for a national plumbing, sewer and electrical supply company.
The bad news, though, is I've made the hard decision to almost completely stop smoking. Even sold the Newair! I haven't been able to taste anything in my cigars other than remote hints for years now. Smells were amazing, but nothing doing for taste. I am now effectively at a point where I may go out and buy one once in a while, but am keeping nil on hand. The hard decision is reversible, should I discover in later months or years that my taste for tobacco has returned.
Anyway, that's where I am now. I'm glad that I kept tapatalk on my phone, and am still connected with y'all that way

It's good to see you back Trent and congrats on your new job. That is awesome!
It was late in life before I got into cigars. I dabbled for a few months around 2000 and really enjoyed it, but I knew I didn't have extra money to burn, so I walked away until the kids were firmly on their feet and we no longer had a mortgage payment. In 2012 I realized I could once again enjoy some cigars and began stocking up when I could before retiring which would mean a smaller income. I hope someday your cigar buds fire back up because I know how much you enjoyed the taste of a good cigar.
