It's a very rich German lager (marzen) my brother gave to me from his advent calendar, and I might have to clean him out as he's not much of a beer drinker outside of land shark and the occasional oberon.
Very crisp, yet still plenty of malt flavor with ample fruity notes (apricot and little orange), with very little hops. Clean finish and easy to drink.
I paired it with an Umbagog thinking it was a stout, but it wasn't such a bad pair. If I wasnt already lit, I would have switched to something more peppery and less smokey.

First full day of vacation! Tried to start off with a dog park visit but the lawn care crew showed up right after we got there so poor Rufus only got like 5 minutes of park time.

I have never enjoyed beer but the way you describe it makes it sound delicious

You know how it is here with enablers. I've taken notes on how to give notes over the years

Thanks Kayla,
He had a rough start in life, we were his “foster parents” at 5 weeks, then at 8 weeks we were able to officially adopt him. Then within a month of the adoption, we found out he was dying. He had a massive hernia in his diaphragm, which let a large portion of his intestines, and a couple organs, go up into his chest cavity. It was making it where he couldn’t catch his breath, and his heart couldn’t beat correctly. They gave him a few weeks to live, without major surgery, telling us he would slowly suffocated, as well as have a heart attack.we don’t have kids, so our little pups over the years have ALWAYS been our children.
So we had the surgery done, which thank God was a complete success. He has a scar down the middle of his chest, from the sternum, all the way down, about 6-8” long. He’s now a healthy happy puppy, who just celebrated his 5th birthday.
T52 for Thursday
With how cold it’s going to drop, this may be my last cigar until next week. I might try to sneak a small one in, if I can take the cold.
If that’s the case, have a great Christmas everyone!
