What did you smoke today (NC) II

Last night with a bit of Old Overholt rye:



Since that smoke didn’t last all that long I went back for one of these crappy cigarillos. Hard to complain, though they’re too small (I wanted nothing less than 30 ring), as I know Don at Underground Cigars gave me way more than $50 worth of smokes in a blind sampler. But these things won’t stay lit longer than 20-30 seconds. It’s also the type of smoke I found the beetle hole in a couple of months back:

I may have mentioned the QuickDraws as being superb smokes with hoppy beers!

Last nights smoke Esteban Carreras Chupacabra Maduro Corona, nice short cigar.
Was plumb out of cigars waiting for a delayed box of Romeo y Julieta Coromitas en Cedros hit local shop picked up the Chupacabra and two Mr. Brownstones, a 4.5x4 6EMS and a 6x52 Smack Toro. The Smack was the first Esteban Carreras cigar I smoked, and it sold me on the Mr. brownstone line.
Got the RyJ coronitas today, smoking one ROTT now. Twenty six days order to got em.
Lucky they came in before I head off on a long overdue vacation, have to get away from the Joisey heat & humidity heading to a cooler destination.

Yes, I liked the Esteban Carreras cigars myself. Coincidentally, it was a Mr. Brownstone in the same size I had last Saturday evening sharing some time with my son in Lincoln. I picked out a Chupacabra for him. I will have to look out for the Smack.

Last night I got my first ever hole in one. I didn't take any pics of the 3 cigars after that because I was a bit hyped up. 130 out with a 9 iron, one hop into the hole.

I’m not very good at golf unless it’s the miniature version! And even then...

Won these in a raffle back in Feb and figured it was about time I tried one. Very good cigar but I don't think I'd pay the $29.90 MSRP

That price range, for me, is saved for Cohibas. But then I generally don’t spend more than about $12 on a smoke.

Local distillery, bandits distilling. Honestly so far it’s my least favourite. It’s not horrible just not what I expected. A good splash of lemon juice in it helps to give it what it’s lacking though.

I DON'T have a jar of fine Oklahoma peach shine, but if I did I'm sure I wouldn't enjoy it.....

Had a nice El Rey Del Mundo during the p.m. bad driving olympics Not bad for a semi-cheapie. Got it from a coworker, think I traded him a Brohiba for it.

While threshing the lawn this evening, had an Alec Bradley White Gold, my last one, thankfully. Flavor was OK but a bit weak, and it burned sideways.

Wild Turkey actually makes a good rye forward whiskey. I don’t usually buy it though, but for something like $27 I think it’s a good buy.
