For me tonight, my first La Gran Llave. This vitola is absurdly large. Lots of black licorice and pepper, some cinnamon and...cola, I think? Really unique. I’m a sucker for anything San Andres. And the Ecuadorian Habano binder is also a fave. I really dig this.

The ogre has a Candella wrapped barberpole but does not have the classic flavor profile.
Candellas are nice for a change of pace once in a while, I got a romacraft in a trade a while back and it was excellent. I enjoyed the the wasabi as well, the camacho is decent but not as good as the others imho. I've heard the Illusione is really good, and a great way to see how a wrapper impacts the cigar, especially if you can find all 3 in the Holy Lance.
I don't have emotions, and sometimes that makes me very sad.

Like Tombstone said, candelas have a very mild, sweet grass type of flavor. I think they pair well with just about anything because of the mild profile. The CroMagnon Fomorian (RoMa Craft) was definitely the best I've tried. Unfortunately, it seems like they're not making them anymore.
Besides the other brands mentioned, Rocky Patel has an Edge Candela that's pretty good.

Bought some Macanudo Maduros to try. Not bad for the price. Seem a bit stronger than medium. A bold flavor profile.

Thanks for all the info on Candela sticks recently. I have also wondered what they were like, but didn't know which to spend the money on. Now I have a good idea of which to try, when I get around to it.
Thursday
No rain finally, though a bit colder. Some '89 Dead playing and some nice hot coffee, to go with another very box worthy stick.
