Capping off a lovely Saturday with a Brohiba batch 37. This is an experimental batch with Dark Air binder, CT Broadleaf wrapper, and cigar/pipe tobacco scraps for filler. It's not bad but not great, pretty much like the commercial "mixed fillers," about what you'd expect from such a tobacco salad.
You oughta know not to stand by the window, somebody see you up there.

Saturday 29 Dec. Esteban Carreras Mr. Brownstone Toro Grande Maduro...6x52. The first Mr. Brownstone in Maduro for me. Enjoyed smoking the same size Mr. Brownstone in Natural. Unsure I'd like the Maduro version as much. the Cigar.Well made, solid heavy feel. Easy clean cut and light. Once lit spice plus pepper the level dropping after a minute or two, then steady the rest of the way. Medium to Med~Full, lots of smoke. Very solid white ash. One of the longest burning cigars other than Churchills or larger sizes I've smoked.

The pix is of the Mr. Brownstone Toro in Natural. Don't have a pix of the Maduro, which has black rather than brown bands & ribbon.

Almost unreal burn time. Three Hours and Eight Minutes.

Glad you like them as well Tony. Jesse told me about the 601 Blue Labels when I was just branching out into the world of cigars. I figured the maduros are good, so lets try the Oscuro. They are really good, I might even say as good if not a tad better then the Blues.

For Saturday I had a Diesel Whiskey Row, these are getting better with each passing week.

While three hours is impressive, its still not centuries, decades or seasons now is it Bob?

    3:08! Wow.
    S'prised me all to Hell.
Went & checked, longest burn time I got from the same cigar, in Natural was two Hours and Thirty Four Minutes.
Looking forward to seeing how long the next one smokes, when I'm able to spend a good bit of time with one.
