To the best of my recollection a Corona was a big cigar, that is a full sized one, then there were Panatelas/Lonsndales and Churchills.
Perfectos were I think a slightly shorter cigar than the Coronas, the shape very popular tho.
Don't recall any cigars, other than Novelties, with ring Gauges of 50 or larger.
Tho I do smoke some of the larger sizes now,, I'm back to the Corona ~ Lonsdale ~ Lancero sizes most of the time.
Expect have come full circle in terms of Ring Gauge...right back to when Cars had Running Boards.

The few coronas I've had were mid 40 ring and about 5.5".
I've even had the little smokes from CAO and Nat Sherman that are just under 40 ring and about 4" strike my fancy. I don't care for anything much smaller though. Avo also has one but it's hard to find so I haven't tried them.
The Kudzus I got for Christmas are toros (52 x 6) but box pressed, and a lancero (40 x 6.5). Love these smokes!

Hi Bob, Southern Draw makes some really fine cigars, don't often see them mentioned, but they're good. Seeing as how you're in Texas reckon you don't have a hard time finding them. Firethorn are nice as are the Quick Draw, Petite Coronas.
Funny thing, "Corona" is a pretty flexible in terms of size, some being 7" in length and 44 Ring Gauge...Panatela/Lancero size.
There're a few Gems in the 35-36-37 RG, little hard to find, but they're there.
Cheers,
Bob.

I've only had the Kudzu but have been wanting to try the others. I was handed one while visiting a local brewery where I had met an owner two weeks prior at a beer/music festival and got to talking about a jalapeño cream ale. Very nice fellas out there at Solid Rock Brewery!

I smoked one that was somewhat fresh and it was OK. I rested some that caught a dose of "yellow cello" and I really liked them a lot better.....

It got better after the initial burn. Turned out to be a decent one after all.
