Despite the mugginess of the afternoon this one was really enjoyed. Along with some iced Coke.
Best wishes for an enjoyable Memorial day weekend.

Hi Bob,
Tis Summer all around now, everything in bloom. Nature is amazing.
2009 Royal Jamaican, 7" x 54, with coffee with half and half.
Not sure of this vitola's name and couldn't find being sold anywhere. It would seem that Royal Jamaican went the way of the dodo bird without me knowing. These are from the Hurricane Specials that JR was selling (50 good sticks, no filler, cheap 50-ct humidor for $99).
Cigar was loaded with plume and is smoking to the look, an exceptional stick. Never thought that I'd say that about Royal Jamaican made in the DR. Medium but loaded with flavors, lovely herbal fragrance and top notes and a malty sweetness effortlessly backed by a subtle leather. My best comp would be Miami made La Gloria de Cubana (one of my favorites), but this is better in burn and no construction issues at all. It's likely that this cigar was made in the same plant as the DR incarnation of La Gloria.
Wish I had a 1,000 of these and I like it better than the original Royal Jamaican (from Jamaica).
Best to you and your family for the holiday weekend, thanks.
Pete
Have a great weekend ad holiday everyone.

Hi Pete, Wow that's a great review, of what must be an excellent smoke.
While wishing, put me down for thousand of them too.
I did like the original Royal Jamaican, from Jamaica a lot.
Thanks for your thoughtful wishes and naturally I'm wishing the same for you and yours this weekend.
Bob.

Round one with my dad today. My first of these and a very solid cigar. I'd smoke it again.
