Having another Brohiba this evening. The usual blend on the inside - Dark Air binder, mix of Dominican and Nicaraguan on the inside, and PA (natural, not shade) wrapper. It's pretty good, but only has 41 days' rest (I'm impatient). Needs a bit more time in the cedar house.
You oughta know not to stand by the window, somebody see you up there.

This cigar has been resting in my 65% rh humidor since the second week of February 2016; definitely not enough rest but I could not wait. After lighting this cigar I got a creamy pepper with a wisp of wood. At the 1/3 point the cigar went from med to med-full and changed to a coffee and chocolate flavor while still being very creamy. At the very end the pepper got stronger and ended with a flare.
The construction of this cigar was very good, with one single vein that presented no problems, excellent burn and great draw.
Dang-it, this is a very complex smoke; I had no idea what was coming next, but above all-the flavor was delicious. Bob smokes some weird cigars (no pun intended) as do I, and I love this one I will definitely buy more. I topped off this smoke with a large cup of hot coffee and this has been a "Cigar Event".
Thanks for the kind and delicate diplomacy when you changed the more expected.
"Weird Bob smokes some cigars." into" Bob smokes some weird cigars."
Like your comments on the Cubao, especially since you note and name elements that I may, but only may, notice. Tho I can't put names to those changes.
Let me say that I have always enjoyed your cigar posts. Details, such as time in the humidor. RH stored at, etc must be useful to many who are uncertain in regard to how long and at what RH cigars should be stored before being enjoyed.
The Cubao is I think, a nice cigar that doesn't get much recognition. Glad you liked it.
Best regards from a fellow Coffee plus Coffee drinker.
Bob.

Jumpin’ Railcars and Collectin' Cans
Ah, the mystery of the NC wind tunnel. Looking at it, it is beautiful. Gorgeous wrapper, solid construction and not a single soft spot. Yet it draws like a hollow tube. It might as well have been plugged.

I started with a little cohiba siglio but it had a bad tight draw so I lit an Obsidian corona to ease the frustration.
