Had some extra cigar time for a Friday, so decided to grab one of these big Churchills @jhedrick83 sent me. Excellent stick from toast to nub!

Early Friday Evening smoke. Paul Garmirian Gourmet Series Connoisseur 2013 Symphony 20...6x52.
Held off on smoking this excellent cigar that WNYTONY had so gracously sent me until I could be certain of an uninterupted lenght of time to enjoy it.
Had a hunch that this could be an exceptional cigar, one that would reward one smoking slowly whilst paying attention to what was on offer.
Right from the start there was an awareness of 'something' out of the ordinary,a unique quality maybe owing to the age of the tobaccos used in the blend.
Fir, very glad I set aside the time giving this cigar the attention deserved.
    Thanks again, TONY.

    Morning Brian,

Please add and send my hearty congratulations to your wife! Personal achievements are always nice when recognized but extra special when you're helping others while doing it.

5-Vegas Gold Toro with coffee light. This one's misbehavin' a bit but still ok.
@allusred mentioned waking early feels like you're stretching the day, amen to that and wish that I could do so more often.

    Morning Pete,
Tend to stay awake most of most nights, so this unusual for me. A nice bit of Indian Summer right now, so enjoying the day so far.
Have you smoked the San Cristobol Del Sol? Lucked out finding some of these favouites. Any 'take' on the San Cristobol blend?

Now tell me about the stogie. I have one resting in one of my boxes, am I going to like it ?
    Will do Tony! Thx

Yep! I think you will enjoy it, I sure did. As you know im not able to describe the flavors as much as some, but it was very nice. Not much pepper of any sort, not even on the retro. It had a nice long finish, mild - medium strength, produced a fair amount of smoke. Don't remember if this was the natural or the maduro.

Had it resting for at least 18 months and I think I have another plus 2 of whatever this is not (natural/maduro).

Thx Pete! And I sure will.
I agree 100% that recognition is nice. And I'm very biased, but she really deserves it and I say it's about time that they recognized her.

    Hi Bob,

Gorgeous day here too, wish I had been out early.

Knew Rob Levine (Holts/Ashton) pretty well in the day, good guy. I bought cigars (retail) from them for several years and I tried (and liked) San Cristobal. The Old Henry was a good value made by Pepin Garcia too I believe. Rob knows cigars and is one of the best connected people in the industry so their marques like San Cristobal are very good indeed.

    Hi Brian,

You did a good job of describing this stick. I felt the same way until I gradually started to associate terms like 'leather', 'earth', 'cedar', 'cream', 'whateverberry', etc., with what I was tasting and realized that though somewhat abstract it was the flavor being discussed. More important are the points that you described because all the 'leather' in the world is subject to what you said, if it's not burning well or falls apart it's immaterial.

You ever have one of those days where you have to deal with so much stupidity and incompetance that you develop an eye twitch?

Thats where I am today. Hopefully this Aging Room Maduro will help.
