While cooling down under the shelter it became clear to me it was time for a smoke. A CAO Gold Karat.

The high winds didn't do me any favors as far as my burn time.

RG to the first person who can tell me where this is. (and don't say the US - you have to get a little more specific than that :))
Reading that Texas saying has brought back to mind, Billy Bob " Boom Thunder & Lightning" Miller. Set to amaze true devotees of the sweet science of pugilistics but had a damascus moment just prior to entering the squared circle against a live opponent for the first time.
Billy Bob Miller put aside his ring carrier to devote himself to his embroidery.
Tatuaje Black Event Robusto for me tonight LOE THESE !!!
Had a Tres Reynas Corona on the drive home earlier. My first of these and that was a pretty good smoke.

Yessir, it's BIG TIME hot right now. It's supposed to be triple digit real feel at 11 tonight. I told the wifey that she needs to go water the garden. I'm busy analyzing this fan under the deck. I think it's going around and around, but needs further research. The crap I do for her comfort. A Por Larranga Panatela from far southern Miami.....
Home roll: Ecu Hab Lig wrapper, Dom binder, criollo lig, nic hab seco, and Corojo viso. Spicy.
DROY...
Hear, well read, what you're saying, sure not be needling any Tailors.
Sitting cross legged on the floor all those hours it's no wonder some get a mite crotchety,
would not take kindly to a suggestion that they should switch or swing the other way to get their hands round bigger needles.
Crocheting might not suit them in the tail end.
Still a bit too hot & sticky, but has cooled down some, time for a cigar. Matilde Renacer Robusto...5.2x54. Pretty sure that's the correct ring gauge, but it's time to head out to front porch and light this one.
Eiroa first 20 years ROTT. What a fantastic smoke. This is my second one. Had the first about 4 months ago and it was great so picked up a fiver the other day. This has shot right to the top of my smoke of the year list. I may have to go get a box of em.

My aunt lives in Belmar. Not too bad, though it was fall.
Texas is certainly hot and humid though, and it's a characteristic I no longer tolerate well. I hide indoors through much of the summer and camp (primitive) throughout the rest of the seasons when it's nicer.
That's one thing I love about being by the lake. You can cool off right quick!
Kicking back with my son's dog.

Town's really over crowded during Tourist season. The river is only a short walk away so no need to go to the ocean for a swim, but no one seems to swim there now. Far as smoking goes without trees to provide some much needed shade, and with more glass than screens now, heat just builds and stays. Was 109F today in a shaded/out of the Sun location. Think the humidity may've been in the 60's. Like to smoke out there at night, quiet time, relatively.
