I like them. I would agrees that flavor does pick up noticably about an inch in. It builds in strength and pepper and is cedary. Overall I like them. I've had one maduro and a few Connecticut's. The maduro was very good. I'll have to try some more. The Conny is also excellent and not as mild as most.
