Spent the stormy night with Quesada 40th Anniversary Toro Press; delicious cocoa notes but MAN was it hard to keep a good burn on it in that storm

Only brought 2 La Herencia Cubana Oscuro Fuerte Toros that I nursed along over a couple of days. I brought sticks that wouldn't make me cry if Customs nipped them, but I could have brought 20 boxes without a problem as there was no one at the declarations desk.
The relatively dry air did well for these, even when smoked partially, they tasted pretty good. Nothing left save pipes for the rest of the trip now.

I have big hands. The best hands! Great big hands that can light cigars and build walls.

Bruck's woeful cigar experience :crushed:
I worked late this evening, had to knock out some paperwork in peace, got it done, thought I'd celebrate with a cigar on the way home, a Pinar Del Rio Reserva Limitada. I like these smokes for their leather/hardwood profile. Had trouble making it burn right, which is usually the case with smoking and driving, due to the ventilation. It tunneled bad, as in the wrapper didn't burn, just the filler (?!) When I re-lit, the wrapper caught fire and there I was driving down the parkway with a flaming torch in my hand. Got it out, but the cigar never did burn well.
So when I got home, I lay it in the outdoor ashtray and had dinner. Afterwards, I thought I'd try it again while taking a walk in the neighborhood. Again, the burning difficulties, and the wrapper kept flaming up on me. A half mile down the road I tossed it in the ditch. Perplexed I was, as I've never had any cigar burn that badly.
Happy ending :) I lit up an Oliva Saison which is excellent!
Second of the night, hanging out with the boys.

Went for a walk earlier with a La Galera Connie El Lector from the CA Care Package.
Great burn and not a bad smoke but won't be rushing out to buy a box .
Tonight I'm chilling with a Tatuaje Miami Regios that @penna stogey just sent me in a Cigar and Coffee Pass bomb.
Pulled it out of the rubble last night and it looked like it was still smoldering so I'm smoking it today - safety first and all

Just fired up: La Palina El Diarioo KB...4.25x40. This Cigar courtesy of Cardinal, smoked one at about this same time night before last, sure could smoke one of these anytime, Morn, Noon night...but this time slot, late evening, for a creature of the night is very nice match for this cigar. Don't recall the burn time for the first, but I'm certain these are not fast burning cigars.Intend to note how long this one burns for.
Edit: Perfect burn, no youch ups needed, burntime one hour twenty three minutes.
Started off the night with a Gran Habano Zulu Zulu Lancero. Delicious stick with sweet creamy notes, great draw and awesome burn

Been sitting in the humidor for several years. It's as delicious as ever.
Pioneer Valley Maduro from @cigarsarge when Atrackmyer did the Perdomo DVD pass
I might have mentioned that since the bugs like the floodlights, I bought some tiki torches. Pam said it reminds her of Survivor. Do you know how embarrassed I am going to be if I get voted off the porch?
An Alec Bradley New York tonight along with a little bourbon and coke in my favorite tumbler. Always been one of my favorite cigars and I am still glad that I bought a crap load of them when they were discontinued and on sale. The best $2 smoke I've ever had.

An Alec Bradley Coyol Toro in a windy golf league earlier and it was pretty good. Came in the CRA renewal package.
Tonight a fantastic Tatuaje M80 that @Bernardini sent me and told me "smoke it, no reason to wait on it" so I took his advice.
First one of these I've had and man are these good. Thanks Andy - you da man

Tobacco Thursday. Grimalkin Torpedo...6.5x52. One of my two or three favourite Don Pepin Garcia cigars, a blend or mix of leaf unique to this long since ended production and one should you be limited to only a single line of cigars that could well be the one picked. Very likely would be my choice, unless the "La Luna De La Habana" Corona. That those Coronas were either a 6.8 or 6.9 length certainly gave one time to fully enjoy the quality of that cigar.
Edit: Burn time one hour thirty six minutes.
Is it Friday yet?
