Jealous that you got to visit Ybor City.
Did you get to do any Factory tours?
Would love to visit there someday and tour the Fuente factory.
Same with the Dominican Republic and Cuba someday.
3 top things on my bucket list now that I'm retired and certainly have the ability and free time. Would just take a fair while to save up, even not buying any smokes.

I live 20 minutes from Ybor and just went up for lunch and popped into a few stores, No factory tours on this adventure. But I have toured a couple previously the jc Newman in ybor and the partagas in Cuba. I just learned that the partagas factory collapsed last year so it is a good thing I saw it when I did.

Nice. Would be cool living so close to somewhere with that kind of cigar history.
A friend who is the admin on another forum used to live about the same distance from Ybor, and did a lot of contract work for Fuente and Newman too. Just recently moved to Georgia though, so missed my chance to visit him and get a guided tour of Ybor from someone experienced with it.
Very awesome you got to tour the Partagas factory in cuba.
Visiting Cuba is definitely at the very top of my bucket list

Brick House Double Connecticut Churchill
Obviously has some age to it based on the cellophane once i removed it.
Very tasty. First 3rd was fairly mild, 2nd third was a solid medium and final 3rd was a medium-full, so lots of variety in the strength.
Draw and construction were perfect
Burn was off most of the time, but only bad enough at a couple points to need correction
Overall, a nice, long, tasty smoke https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ade6ee3433.jpg

Every time I'm about to head out to smoke, the heavy rain comes along find a place out of the rain, but sure reduces the pleasure when one can not really enjoy the Night.
Now while typing this, there's no rain outside, temp has dropped a good bit so if I do get a smoke in before Sunrise It'll likely be a petite one for a quickie. Ain't that a 1st world problem?

Protocol Probable Cause
My first day starting back up on my morning runs and I was going to take it easy but I got caught in a torrential downpour on the last half mile so I sprinted all the way home and now I feel like grim death. If exercise is good for you it should FEEL good, shouldn’t it?!

Old Smokey, the Padilla 1932 Lancero may have been a signature, I really have no idea other than that it was the best Lancero I've smoked.
It has never occurred to Me to put away cigars to age for Years. If I get a box of cigars, will always smoke one or more ROTT, if they're Ok all's well. Durn little chance any of that box would still be unsmoked twelve weeks on.
Janus did say "If it feels good do it."
Know that quote don't fit, it's just one i like.
Here's a true tale for You. A Guy whose last Name was actually Super. Said he loved the pain of exercising hard and heavy. He also said that He would walk around with some heavy stones chained to His ankles if He could without people thinking He was crazy. Yeah, he was a fanatic, but I think he "may" have been kidding when he mentioned the chains & stones.
You do know Kayla that unless You're a short distance from shelter sprinting can get You out of the rain faster....but NOT less wet.
Maduro Monday Morning.
Mid Morning smoke while some of that white flaky stuff is coming down. Been missing time spent burning cigars last Day or two, must try to get back on track before the makers are forced to smoke their own creations. Tatuaje Havana Vi Hermosos 5.63x46.

Oliva 2nds Churchill
Very good taste, a mild-medium to medium all the way to the nub
Burn required a couple corrections very early on, but straightened out nicely for the majority of the cigar.
Appearance, draw and construction were perfect.
No idea what makes these seconds.
I suspect that they are pretty much regular Olivas just possibly being blended differently and sold as bundles on the cheap to sell more cigars and capture some of the market for bundles.
Who knows though
Overall, definitely worth the couple bucks a piecehttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...dfe1a39c13.jpg

CAO Criollo Bomba
Excellent taste, just like i remember from smoking a lot of them back in my early years of being a regular cigar smoker.
I thought these were discontinued as when I searched for them a while ago, thats what evey vendor was showing. Now suddenly the Bombas are available all over the place.
Perfect burn and construction.
Draw was pretty tight the first half even though I used my PerfecDraw tool through both end, and even my much larger Modus II when I tested the cold draw.
Improved quite a bit in the second half though.
All in all, a great tasting smoke. Will definitely be buying a larger supply in the future as i only bought a 5 Pack to test them https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...105e32da24.jpg
