Completely different cigar in my opinion, not even similar. They say it uses the same binder/filler as the original and just a different wrapper. If that is true, this is the perfect example of how much effect the wrapper leaf has on the flavor profile of a cigar. For me, the original was all light citrus notes and a bit of pepper while the Escuro is super dark and earthy with a bit of coffee. But they are both fantastic in their own wayQuote:

Unsure of age, but the cellophane had a definite yellow tint to it, so its had a bit.
On the milder side, but quite a bit of great taste still and perfect draw,burn and construction.

Quite powerful. Definitely had to really slow my pace down and take smaller puffs to avoid it being too much.
For strong , full flavor lovers, this is probably right up your alley, for those of us who prefer mild or medium, not so much.
