Perdomo Lot 23 torpedo. Absolutely love these
#4 in the My Father review set, a jaw stretching La Antiguedad toro gordo.
Brohiba tonite - PA wrapper (from KY), Dark Air binder (KY), filling consisting of Nicaraguan and Dominican leaves, plus some CT Broadleaf, from KY. It was pretty tight at first, my tonsils grew back, but loosened up about halfway thru. Including the CT Broad in the filler tends to do this, not sure why. Anyway, flavor and vitamin N are just what the doctor ordered :)

Now smoking a Davidoff Blenheim, purchased from @AndyCAYP , in his families honor. My drink is a healthy dose of Lagavulin.
Also celebrating my daughters fifth birthday earlier this week.

Mid way along with this My Father Limited Edition Corona...5x42. Every time I light one of these find myself wishing Garcia would reissue then in the twenty three count box as he did in the past. Once opened the box of ten all too quickly becomes the box of none, then it's back to looking for more.
Sorry no photo of this one.
But the earlier smoke has an image, and anyway its still Sunday evening for me, hours to go.
Sunday afternoon smoke, late posting as usual I know. Crazy weather while smoking the ciogar on front porch, temp was 75F. but roll on a couple of hours of strong winds...temp felt like very low 60s...read 48F outdoors., Feeling like early March.
The cigar:
My Father Special S...5x50. Courtesy of Cardinal, this Robusto is a Special Event only item, not a regular production smoke.
Is it really special?
If you rate cigars coming from Don Pepin Garcia's My Father factory as amongst the best available, you know the answer.
Could well chose faultless as a one word descriptor for this Special S.
Couldn't ask for better in a Mild to mild/medium smoke. One of the few from DPG in which you may find pepper to be close to nonexistent, 'tis there but darn near unnoticeable.
The Special S burnt perfectly right from the start, flavourful smooth all the way to end as a very wee nub.

Thanks Tim (Cardinal) for another *Special* Smoke.
I'm gonna do a what I smoked in a week at the cabin post since I didn't want to post every day usually 3 times a day lmao

Went outside to fire up the Corona Double and the wind kicked up with some sprinkles, so I decided I needed to get something shorter. So it's a JDN Gran Consul instead....
Matilde Renacer Robusto...5.2x54. Nice smoke on this windy mid March day.
The Shade didn't cut it. Time for a wiser choice.

Farrell,
You may be right about the origin. Certainly looks the part and the industry is rife with multiple branded sticks. Make 'em once and band 'em twice. Did you have to sign that form before smoking it? :)
Fonseca 1907 natural with coffee light. This one isn't too bad but I think I have another 2 boxes of these, and they're 50-pk!
Beautiful day.
Fausto Short Churchill
I had two of them last summer and really enjoyed them. I smoked them on the beach on a beautiful day though...might have helped. I liked better than the Padron Damaso....but again could be price and expectations effect my opinion.

Good Morning ya Bums![emoji41]
2006 La Escepcion Balthazar maduro with coffee and cream.
These have been a great morning smoke for the last week but I need to remind myself that there are no more after they're gone. Nice way to start a day, overcast (again) as it may be). Hope your day is going well.

TAA, OR FFP always good. Pleasantly surprised by that Sparkplug and well, that ECCJ was burned to the nub, nearly 2 hours of pure smoking bliss.

This thing was an absolute smoke bomb from start to nub. It started to unwrap on me about halfway through but I nursed it along and got past it. Ended up being a great smoke.

Bahia Gold - one of my favorite cheapies!
This was well over a two hour smoke, one of those that you must slow down and concentrate on, flavours are quite subtle
,but there in this mild smooth...7x40 Cigar.
Would usually smoke one of this size in the evening, but opted for burning it late this afternoon,
figured there might be too much RH for a long duration smoke tonight.

Quite nice to take a break from the larger ring gauges to smoke this.
Local stick tonight

2004 Hoyo de Monterrey Torpedo with a snifter of sake on a cold evening.
Bought these from JR as aged cigars, several years ago. Thought it was time to get them started. So far very nice and very Cubanesque,
Hello Pete,
May have just seen a light bulb go on.
More than a few times I've smoked something Hoyo de Monterrey and though it might have been better, if.
Now that light bulb moment has me thinking it might not have been my thinking a tweak to the blend....rather a bit of age may've been all those cigars needed.
It's Wednesday, kind of a Warped one at that, at 3:08 AM set a light this. Warped flor Del Valle Las Brumas...4.5x48. Seven minutes into it and time to add something liquid to this experience, off to do that.
If you like the New World you may like this. Think a New World / Diesel Unlimited hybrid.
