A couple from yesterday and today. I usually stay away from Caldwell smokes but I’ve always been a fan of the Last Czar. It’s the only Caldwell I have in my stash.
I also had an Illusione 88 maduro while having a morning soak in the pool but didn’t snap a pic.

We lucked out. No major damage at our place and the power is still on. Lots of downed trees around the city, I hear. 130,000 still without power yesterday. My son still doesn’t have power, but he lives in an older area with many very mature trees and the power lines are strung above ground. He texted me today looking for my chainsaw. The No. 9 is an excellent cigar. Many here, including myself, would give the nod to the T52. My personal favorite is the Belicoso, if you can find it.Quote:

My first of these
Sadly, quite bland and generic. Fortunately, they were cheap, especially by Davidoff/Zino standards.
It did pick up a fair bit in the last third, but still just generic tobacco taste.
Perfect draw, burn and construction though.
Definitely wont be buying more unless the other one I have tastes radically better, which is unlikely.

How are the Quesadas as a whole, and which specific ones would you reccomend?
Dont know anything about them and always looking for new smokes to try and popularity and opinions of forum members are a big part of my decision making process on new ones to try, especially since there is an endless supply of nc's available making it difficult to choose new ones otherwise

I'd describe most every Davidoff I've had as "bland." But that's just my Nicaraguan-obsessed opinion. I always know to steer clear of a cigar if it's described as "nuanced" or "smooth." That always screams bland to me.Quote:
