Just needed to have a smoke today!
Hiram & Solomon Live2Serve.
Mild - medium at best! Even on the retro. No spice. Decent flavor, smooth. I've had them about a week or so, no clue how long they've been sitting before that.
Nice ash, pretty even burn.
Not impressed, but an ok smoke.
Let's see what a little rest does for them.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f7c5ea313b.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...4659879c11.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...5601191600.jpg

I see you Brian. Check off June on the calendar :poke:
Who you kidding with that "little rest" ? That's a minimum of like 7 years for you isn't it ?
But I'm bummed to hear they weren't that great - I had high hopes and H&S is usually pretty good.

Nope these were in a humidor on a pallet full of local trade show stuff. We used to go around to local festivals and sell cigars and humidors. I guess someone just stashed the full humidor up on this pallet thinking we would pull it out in a month for another show but then it was forgotten about for years

I'm always amazed at the wide variety of smokes in this thread.
There are just so many different nc's that its dizzying and very different choosing what to get when putting together an nc order.
I have already set up my order for the beginning of next month, but keep changing things as I read these threads and different reviews.
The nc world is definitely very different from the cc world when it comes to variety for sure

You are so right, you could probably never smoke every NC produced because there are just so many! And if you included blends that are not in production anymore, forget about it!
Now in my limited experience, the Bums here could probably give it a close shot. Although they, and I, have some go to smokes that our humi never stay without, they have sampled a large variety.
I'm not sure what your buying preferences are (boxes, singles). I tend to buy 5'ers.
And once you start getting bombed, participate in the MAW, Secret Santa or anything where we choose what to send you, your variety will expand!!
I can't help but roll my eyes a bit when I come across folks who still think of Cuban cigars as the gold standard. The level of craft and dedication going into boutique NC cigars right now is unparalleled. We're living in a truly amazing time for our hobby. It's hard to keep up, but it's also hard to pick something that won't be satisfying. Just sit back and enjoy!
I certainly agree.
I have certainly run across many more problems from cc's than nc's over the years for sure.
I'm just getting back into nc's after a year or so hiatus from them to focus on exploring more good cc's, but I'm already stocked to smoke nc's a third of the time, with another order of nc's coming next month. Really want to experience a lot of variety of nc's as part of my stock, as i highly value having as much variety as possible, and nc's have no shortage of that.
Just difficult to decide what to try since there are just so many available

Finally got a new table and 2 chair set for the back porch, and my portable AC unit will be here today. Summer may just be a little more comfortable this year, one can hope.

Catching up a bit:
In addition to my CH for the CH monthlong 30/30
DE Acid Blondie Green, Candela
Haven’t had one of these in probably 8 years. In fact, I don’t think I’ve had the green one. Needed a quickie, short smoke. This was all I had. I didn’t mind the floral aroma, but the cigar was awful. I usually like candelas once in a while.

Buckeye Land
I did include one CH. This was a first and only for me. These are terrific! Meaty, earthy, leather, black pepper, coffee. Smooth. Copious smoke output.
Enjoyed it tremendously.
Thank you, @WNYTONY

I’ve heard and seen these recommended several times for a good, lower priced stick. Not impressed. I’ve had 3-4 so far. Ok flavor, but not wowed. This one had burn issues. Started tunneling severely after first half inch. Struggled with it for a while. Let it go out and relit a few times, hoping that would be a cure. The third time, I cut about 3/4 inch off to get past most of the burnt out interior. Then I had draw problems. It might be good if I could get a good burn and smoke output. Ending up chucking it early. Don’t know if it’s the cigar or my continued burn issues. See my Tunneling post.

Pichardo Clasico
Very good. Smooth, creamy, slightly sweet, baked bread crust with a mild pepper increasing at about halfway.

once I got a base smoke in - I moved on to the Chamuco that was recently sent to be by @chain_gang to ty. Excellent smoke - love the size and soft box press. This is a '19 LE and it really reminds me of the '18 LE Black Lab which I also love. Thanks Matt

Crowned Heads Jericho hill 12 Honest Men
My first of these, in fact, my first lancero ever
Great taste, and lots of it but without being too strong or overwhelming to the palate.
Started with a little bite of spice in the first third, but disappeared after that.
Great burn, draw and construction inspite of the wind (which Wyoming always has).
All around great cigar
