Burned an Oliva conny this afternoon. These are pretty good for a mild cigar with some sweet and citrus notes. I have a decent array of them since a year or two ago they were constantly on sale for pretty cheap with free shipping.
Digressing here but...
Haven't seen a sale on them (or any other cigar) lately because I got sick of being harassed with the endless 'offers' from every damn cigar site I've ever ordered so much as a single from. I blocked every one of them. I hate getting put on an email spam list just because I did business with someone: look, I bought your crap, why are you punishing me? [/rant]

Since this was my first of any Leaf by Oscar cigars, I can’t compare it. I will say though, it was a very nice smoke. I’m gonna put two of the four that are left in the footlocker for a few months

Something I learned early on in this hobby is that, while there are a lot of veteran BOTL/SOTL that have an immense knowledge of cigars, there's probably just as many who are totally misinformed and just parrot all the bad advice that was given to them. This is especially true of shop owners and B&M employees. There are a couple high-end B&Ms near me that, despite having great selections and great looking lounges, I can literally feel the humidity when I walk into their humidors and I have seen humidifiers billowing mist directly onto cigars, some of which have mold. They have to be keeping these things at like 75+RH. And there are a dozen or so idiots in the lounge who've been smoking these damp cigars for decades. This is why I'm so glad I found places like CigarBum. When I dropped my RH to 65 years ago and let my cigars adequately rest prior to smoking them, I felt like I was actually tasting cigars for the first time.Quote:
