Easy light, sharp burn line, no touch up or re light needed smooth and relaxing all the way.
Don Pepin Garcia blends Cigars the way one helluva lot of people should be....decent and like able.

Uncle Paulie from Jochy Blanco via Privada Cigar Club. I’ve got a dozen or so connies that I hold onto for the rare morning cigar. Now that I’m working from home for the next 30 days, I guess I’ll break into them. This is...fine. I find all connies to be a bit bitter and cardboard-ish. Nicotine doesn’t have much of an effect on me, so maybe I’ll just keep smoking my usuals at 8am.

This is an absolutely gorgeous cigar. Oily, toothy, dark wrapper. Very firmly rolled and dense. Pre light aroma of earth, barn, and barnyard.
The band looks like it was printed on a home computer inkjet on heavy stationary type paper. Wasn’t even glued, held on with cellophane tape.

Smoking lots of leather that increased at halfway into last third. Peppery retrohale in the nose but not too sharp. Rich, deep, dried fruits and wood.
The only complaint I had was that it might have been a bit too dense. The first inch or so was not quite a tight draw, but wasn’t allowing enough smoke production to get all those wonderful flavors. Opened up just before halfway.
This is one to savor, and I needed that today after the difficult discussions at work.

Been battling with old concrete from a post I need to remove to replace my back fence. It's the corner so no avoiding it. It almost won but finally cleared out the concrete mushroom. Not a great victory cigar but an old connie nub torp from 2011 bomb from the old site

It’s been a minute but I’m back! Had a beach trip last week and it turned into basically a private beach so social distancing was easy. It’s a quiet place that always helps me recharge. Got in a few cigars too. Didn’t get photos of all of them as the sun and Gin took their toll a few days...

Work hard been a mess since I got back. So between that and self isolation with a 3 year old, it’s been a loooong week.
Personal rambling inbound, skip if you want:
Some of us will be hit harder than other but we all will have our lives changed by this. We can all complain about it until we are blue in the face but it won’t make it not happen. So we might as well try and make the best of whatever comes our way. For example, last week and next week will be ugly for me business wise. Silver lining, I get so much time at home with my son. You can’t put a price on that. Financial hits can be made up, lives lost can’t. Find that positive (more time with family, more time for hobbies, more time with cigars, etc.), focus on what you can control and just grind. We’ll all get through this. Hell, maybe this will help us all find a bit more humanity in ourselves and respect for each other rather than the contentious tribalism we keep plaguing ourselves with. Stay safe, stay Smokey and take care of each other.

It's SO true Jessie. So many things we haven't even thought about. This is a sum beach of sum beaches. I don't want to think about it as far as all the things affected, but it's a snowball that'll get bigger than we thought. I'm just hoping that we'll all keep our shit together. I keep thinking of things it'll affect, and it scares the shit out of me. We all need to get together and push our American ways and values to their limit. We need to take care of our neighbors, while still taking care of our sons and grandsons, and for some of us our grandbabies. I'm sometimes terrified for my little great grandbabies. Errrrrr....
