This 2+ year old Nica Libre is smoking like a New World, but milder. A New World Lite, if you will.

This is a really good smoke Bob and I couldn't hold off any longer seeing you posting them up about every third day as your daily smoke !
Great burn and it looks like I'm going to get between 75 and 90 minutes out of it.

I can't remember the last time I posted pics of what I was smoking. Been crazy busy lately and haven't been on here much. Here is the last 4 in my phone. All great and I enjoyed them all very much. The Purp I am smoking as I type this.

Glad you like that one, would seem to just about fit into the preferred size range, that 48 ring gauge is pretty stout for the length.
Speaking of length...in terms of time, you more'n likely smoke slower than I do.
Guess I'll have to slow down in order to catch up.
Now, that doesn't sound quite right.
Read quite right?
This is only getting worse, must be something in the coffee I'm drinking.
Last night's smoke -

I'm thinking you might like these, even though they're a bit longer than you normally go for. I had another today and I got the same experience as yesterday, nice and spicy to start, loads of cedar, creamy coffee, and sweet caramel in the middle, and then last third or so to me becomes earthy. Despite launching them in a month+, I'm excited to see where they're at next year.

Had this on the way home from work. No easier cigar to light or smoke in the car.

Having another Brohiba this evening. The usual blend on the inside - Dark Air binder, mix of Dominican and Nicaraguan on the inside, and PA (natural, not shade) wrapper. It's pretty good, but only has 41 days' rest (I'm impatient). Needs a bit more time in the cedar house.
This afternoon I had a 6X52 Cubao #2 Torpedo cigar.:stogie: "Allusred", Bob had posted smoking Cubao in the past and his comments piqued my interest. You should note that I don't remember what he said but it captured my interest.:excitement: This cigar has been resting in my 65% rh humidor since the second week of February 2016; definitely not enough rest but I could not wait. After lighting this cigar I got a creamy pepper with a wisp of wood. At the 1/3 point the cigar went from med to med-full and changed to a coffee and chocolate flavor while still being very creamy. At the very end the pepper got stronger and ended with a flare.:chicken: The construction of this cigar was very good, with one single vein that presented no problems, excellent burn and great draw.:thumb: Dang-it, this is a very complex smoke; I had no idea what was coming next, but above all-the flavor was delicious. Bob smokes some weird cigars (no pun intended) as do I, and I love this one I will definitely buy more. I topped off this smoke with a large cup of hot coffee and this has been a "Cigar Event".:fly:

Thanks for the kind and delicate diplomacy when you changed the more expected.
"Weird Bob smokes some cigars." into" Bob smokes some weird cigars."
Like your comments on the Cubao, especially since you note and name elements that I may, but only may, notice. Tho I can't put names to those changes.
Let me say that I have always enjoyed your cigar posts. Details, such as time in the humidor. RH stored at, etc must be useful to many who are uncertain in regard to how long and at what RH cigars should be stored before being enjoyed.
The Cubao is I think, a nice cigar that doesn't get much recognition. Glad you liked it.
Best regards from a fellow Coffee plus Coffee drinker.
Bob.
Ah, the mystery of the NC wind tunnel. Looking at it, it is beautiful. Gorgeous wrapper, solid construction and not a single soft spot. Yet it draws like a hollow tube. It might as well have been plugged.

I started with a little cohiba siglio but it had a bad tight draw so I lit an Obsidian corona to ease the frustration.

An Opus Churchill today. I'm not a ch smoker and I remember why. Good stick but would have been better if it was a smaller vitola. This was about an hour in and I ended it shortly here after. Either way, a day smoking beats any day your not.

In Gettysburg for the weekend and stopped in to Union Cigar after golf tonight. Started with a Padron '64 Principe and had enough time to try a Abe Flores Gran Reserva Half Corona before they closed the place. JDN Alisado and Valerosa Primavera on the golf course earlier.
