My neighbor had a co-worker who was traveling to Hispaniola, and asked him to pick me up some cigars when he was in the DR. Yesterday he brought over a variety of half a dozen sticks that his buddy purchased for me from a cigar bar with torcedors. I decided to burn them all in the next week or so, before they can fall into their "sick period". The torpedo I smoked this evening while playing outside with the kids was quite tasty. It's nice to have nice neighbors.
Should have got more of these when the B&M had them on sale

Las Calaveras EL2015 Robusto - love these
Hello Pete,
Right with you on the inconsistent problem with cigars, when a small selection, say three to five are all over the place, that ends my desire to buy a box if they were from the same box. Have a few times gotten fivers from online retailers with widely varying wrapper shades and ranging from ok to mushy in feel. Am used to buying boxes most of the time, and haven't noticed a lot of consistancy problems when doing so, but wouldn't expect to see the problem there anyway. Also that is surely one of the best things about the Montecristos, that quality of construction time and time again has those who like the brand coming back for more of the same.
Bob.
Found this photo on another link, anyone tried these yet?

AJF Diesel. Bought 10 of these a few years ago but out grew them. Let the last 2 sit for 3 years and enjoyed it. Nice nature trail, built up the ash and it was a smoother smoke with extra complexity and healthy dose of nic. Maybe my palate changed some but glad I didn't toss them!

These are awesome, but that patch job could have been put on a tire of it were any bigger.

Cubao #1...6.5x49. Seldom provide extensive long term aging to cigars but this one smoked just as well as the first of this set even after nearly eight weeks of rest, no noticeable loss of strength or complexity/flavour. Have one more left and doubt I'll chance pushing this prolonged aging much longer before lighting it up.
Well Alan, after all ordinary folk like us can't expect to smoke the same cigars as the one percenters,
Nor expect to light up a Seneca full flavored or an ultra H.T.F. Good Days perfecto on a regular basis.
And you don't really have to keep to the concealment of the shrubbery when smoking one of the HR cigars
Even his Excellency Sir. dog Rockets is rumoured to have occasionally smoked lesser cigars than his, custom rolled by Gurkha Camels Breath panatellas.
By the way, I'm saving my coppers in hope of one day being able to afford either a A.Orange by Montsanto or perhaps even an HT one day.
Warped Flor Del Valle Las Brumas...4.5x48. Just lighting this and it's time to add some music to the mix.
Man I love these.

Happy Warped Wednesday from NYC[emoji41]
Anyone up for a game of guess the cigar?

Well, no one wanted to play. It was a Lost and Found Rebel Bingo. Not a bad cigar, but way too expensive at the price they originally sold for.
Garofalo Robusto from the Cigar Authority Care Package. Mild but a pretty decent smoke.
Grimalkin Torpedo...6.5x52.Wednesday afternoon smoke on front porch watching 22 commuter or private jets flying from the small local airport.
Reckon these are today's version of catching a trolley ride home after work
.All of this extremely hard work I endured, puffing (for an hour and forty-two minutes) and watching contrails
made better indeed by a right fine bottle of Unfiltered Wheat Beer from Boulevard Brewing Co.sent to me by my Secret Santa...
Thanks Joel, this really hit the spot today.

After completing a HUGE project - assigning weight to over 15,000 individual items so that we can offer a flat $5 shipping option for smaller orders - I'm going to relax with this...

Our store exclusive Curivari Buenaventura. 6.5 x 44 like a BOSS! Available late May!
My Father Limited Edition Corona...5x42. First cigar from Don Pepin Garcia, I can recall, with a way too tight draw, needed a poke to get more than a slight wisp of smoke from it, once open was ok.
