As I turned taillights to that little town for the last time (cleaned out the old house and turned in the keys), a Perdomo 10th Champagne. Now, a Punch double maduro elite (corona)
@allusred bombed me a Matilde Renacer robusto in the New Year's pass and that was one excellent smoke !
Thanks for that Bob - now I'm going to have to go look up that line and see what else they have out there.
The burn was fantastic and I can't believe I haven't seen more talk about these.
Glad you liked it.
Smoked one, then another,and... after burning half a box decided that I kinda like this cigar's qualities and looks.
Next box of the Matilde ,for me, will be the Corona size.
Edit: Have smoked five of the Corona size, and that's a favourite size for me anyway.
This is an amazing pairing.

Romeo y Julieta Bully ...5x50. Smoked nicely until final inch and a quarter, the the wrapper split, think there was just too much moisture to smoke on the porch.

My Father Le Bijou 1922. So ready for some baseball : ) : ) : ) Enjoy your Sundays everyone.
My father Limited Edition Corona...5x42. Fired this one up when the power went out at 5:35AM...dark and quiet an excellent time to enjoy this cigar.
2014 La Gloria de Cubana Serie R #4 Maduro Robusto with coffee, light. Unseasonably cold but sunny.
Family Reserve No. 44 with 1.5 years rest. Yep...these are definitely better fresh. The first one I had was one of the best cigars I ever had. Now it's become rather uneventful

Spring time is looking good today, out for a smoke, walk, and lunch. Oh yeah and a Boneyard IPA!

Same weather here cold but bright Sunlight, last night however..power went out, rain wind, but not too bad, for an hour or two then extremely high winds for hours on end, roof repairs added to the never ending to do list. Smoking a Lancero and drinking more Coffee whilst trying to ignore this latest problem.
Sure glad this sort of thing doesn't send me looking for help in a bottle, rather than Coffee & Cigars.
Trying out some budget sticks, and saw these a lot online. Highly recommend them at around $1.50/stick.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...b450edfccb.jpg
Tried out a new smoke today while working out in the yard. Pretty good smoke.

Padilla Reserva Toro. Got a box of the Corona size (free :yes!:) when Famous did their Black Friday sale and really liked them so grabbed a fiver of the Toro (nice that it is a 50 ring) and these are also really great smokes.

Just lit a 601 Steel Spike ...7x50. Thus is one Churchillian Churchill Seven inches and 50 ring gauge, nice construction, fine looking wrapper, easy lightsharp burn line, just right draw, when attempting to pull smoke this far, draw can't be too hard. Liking this cigar the first of the 601 Steel line for me, received from my Secret Santa Defetis, many thanks indeed for your much appreciated generous gifts at Christmas.
Forgot to post yesterday. Smoked a Tat Cojonu 2012 Broadleaf in the morning with a piping hot cup of Café Au Lait. A tremendous pairing and I can't smoke this cigar any other way! Then last night smoked 2 Nub Dubs. The cigar so nice I smoked it twice. A great Sunday!
Seriously jealous...
It's back to winter here in Upstate NY.
Decided not to smoke yesterday in the 30ish degree weather with 30-50mph winds...
2013 Graycliff Platinum Churchill with coffee light on a rainy, chilly morning.
This one is much better than the last few of the same that I've had before. It looks, burns and tastes better but the question is why the inconsistency? From the same 5-pk, why is one stick better constructed, burning and tasting than another to the degree that it's impossible not to notice?
Brands like Macanudo have retained their customer base because, whether you like them or not, they are consistently good (or bad). You know what you'll get. I've had some Hoyo lines that were pretty awful, and some that I like, but they're consistent within themselves and they carry a price nowhere near this Graycliff.
This 5-pk ranged from very good (this stick) to nearly bad and that's too inconsistent for me to purchase more.
Nah - no worries. I was working on them when I lit this up and thought it would make a nice background.
2 of them are for Cigars for Warriors and that other one is just some brotherly love or payback (some may refer to it as retaliation but that's just so negative)
Don't you worry - it's going a tad farther than your zip code
Says the guy threatening to send me jawbreakers !
Also safe - not travelling that far.... and it is headed east
La Gloria Cubana Series R Maddy Robusto...
Halfway through this and almost forgot a pic.
