The Penn maduro are very hit and miss. More miss than hit in my experience. The first two I had came from a sampler and were freaking amazing! I mean crunchy anajo wrapper good, I was shocked to see such a high quality leaf being used. Then I bought a box, and although all the flavors were there, the construction sucked so hard. Very inconsistent draw from one to the next, and I had to throw out at least 3 for being complete wooden dowels.

So far they have all been OK to good, but non have standed out as something to specifically re-order. This one is. I'm not sure how, but this thing has truck loads of sourdough, yeasty, irony goodness (which is what I like to describe twang as). If I was given this blind, I would not belive it wasn't Cuban. I would not believe it was a Cohiba ether, but something I've never had before. I need to have another one to make sure my mouth didn't betray me because it was too good to be true. I'll keep you posted.
