Glad to see you back posting here Pete. Hope all is going well. You mention letting those cigars rest for some time before trying again.
How long a rest do you usually give cigars if they've been properly stored and neither too dry nor too wet when you get them?
About a week ago I smoked a Zino Brasil Cigarillo from a box of twenty, sixteen in the box, that has been lying here for at least a year, found it a bit dry tasting as well as fast burning, but not too harsh. These slim twigs seem as if one could smoke them ten at a time. Seem to recmember the "Between The Acts" of years gone by looking larger than these Zinos.

Tonight's choice was a CAO Flathead V450 Sparkplug, courtesy of @Bernardini
Figured I'd get used to smoking his cigars as he will be sending me some from the NCAA Bracket challenge in a couple of weeks

Hope not to be accused of smoking cigars containing any " odd tobacco."
But..I'm confused, looking at the picture it seems some of the air has leaked out of the round ball in the photo, tho the pull tab appears to still be firmly in place.
Good looking Cigar, are they sold only at Cigar Federation?
Grimalkin Torpedo...6.5x52. A fine two hour long smoke of this Don Pepin Garcia cigar with a good hot cup of coffee.
Cigar Federation and I think Two Guys smoke shop. @droy1958 yeah they are expensive but are quite good.

@droy1958 No problem, didn't read it as critical.
I had never heard of them either until recently.
They are hard to describe but full flavored, sweet floral intro into an odd end of the first third that had me wondering if it was infused (I don't think they are). But the halfway point gets super rich and complex full bore musk-leather-earth-coffee-cedar. Notes of vanilla. Sort of reminds me of CC Trinidad or something. Good stuff.
Went to the lounge late afternoon and enjoyed a delicious bowl of Dublin Cottle (Irish sausage stew) and then enjoyed an Illusion HL Candela Lancero. I am not a candela fan, but it's St. Paddy's Day.

I think I was trying to challenge @allusred for time. I set it down at 2 hours and had not taken the band off yet. Probably had another 30-40 minutes left on it.
Quesada tributo. Snapped a pic with this new app I downloaded that turns pics to paintings. Can't help but change every pic I take to a painting.

Hey Droy,
After the Daliesque look of the can of Pop caught my eye, the look of the cigar really got my attention, a very nice band and an attractive wrapper, and tho I've looked for the price of the cigar a hefty tag seems likely.I'm sure neither you nor I would expect to find the Debonaires in a B&M's bargain bin.Always nice to see smokes wearing a band that look so right on the cigar.
Thanks to @Tobias Lutz for this gem. A great way to start a day off, paired with black coffee:

2012 Padron Series Churchill Maduro with Kirkland coffee with light cream on a lovely but brisk late, late Winter morning.
Similar to other Padron (hundreds) Series I've smoked over the past 4-5 years, this stick has significant construction issues. In this case there are 2 seams (~3/4" long) in the wrapper (it's not big enough), the wrapper is visually unappealing and it's loosely packed. Burns a bit fast and a tad uneven but given an undersized/flawed wrapper and too little tobacco, it took some skill to make it worth smoking. The quality of the leaf is very good, excellent wine like taste with sweet berries.
Before the Padron 1964 Anniversary and 1926 series were introduced the Series were exceptional. Are the more recent Series rolled by apprentices or seconds or intended to be lesser cigars?
Perhaps all of the above. The consistency of quality issues, sparse pack, visual low quality of the wrapper and flaws or rolling errors make me believe that the Padron Series is, essentially, a second. Padron gets no brownie points for lack of QC or willingness to be self critical. If the Series were represented as a second then I'd feel them to be overpriced but quality seconds because they taste good (and after all, that is the bottom), but I fear that it's as much or more a gouge of their name and reputation with customers. There's not a snowball chance in hell that the cigar that I'm about to finish ever got a '90+' rating from any reputable rating 'body' but that's a whole 'nother post.
Kicking off March Madness today with a new one to me. Good so far.

Having a nice, little Brohiba this evening, paired with some Esperanto tequila. Tonite's stick is wrapped in CT Broadleaf and bound with Dark Air, both from Larry in KY; filler is nicaraguan and brazilian. The Brazilian gives it some citrusy tanginess.
Another short time to smoke so another short story is in order.
