Enjoy the fruits of your labor sir, I’m sure you deserve it!
That La Rosa 520 Rare Of Rare, was exceptional in every way. Construction, burn, flavor, body, it hit on all cylinders! I’m glad I have a few taking a long nap, can’t wait to try one after 8-12 months, maybe 6
Today ( Fuente Friday ) however is a special day, and cigar! In fact it’s a celebration. Only one person knew, and he’s the one who got me this amazingly cigar to celebrate with. So first off thank you
@WNYTONY
, not only for this delicious stick, but also helping me figure out which one to celebrate with this past 7-8 weeks. More than that, thank you for giving your time to this ole Dead Head during a life changing “process”
Fuente Fuente OpusX Angel’s Shares
In Nov. my primary Dr. died of a massive heart attack, which almost instantly started a chain reaction. Many of you know I have a laundry list of chronic health problems, I’ve been dealing with for 2 decades now. Many cause intense chronic pain, which is at the base of this celebration. My Dr. put me on an opiate to help combat the pain about 15 years ago, as it continued to get worse. He started me on 10mg of methadone a day. I know methadone can immediately cause people to think about the clinics and people using it to come off street drugs. However it has a very powerful pain killer aspect, that at the time seemed best to go with. With chronic/progressive issues, I was quickly put on 20mg a day, 30, until I hit 50mg every single day for the final 8-10 years.
When he died, the staff at the office informed me that they would be unable to refill my pain medication anymore. I did not know that only certain Dr. are able to prescribe methadone. I was suggested to go to a pain clinic, for the pain meds, which I did. Without going into to much details, I was humiliated by them and made to feel like I had done something wrong. They immediately said 50mg daily is too much and was told, drop down to 40mg a day, or I’d have to be sent to a methadone clinic, which I was not going to do. Between just losing what I considered to be the best Dr. I have ever had, the humiliation ( which lasted all of 5 minutes, I was just a number now not a patient to them ) no care, nothing. I came out in tears, I looked at my wife and said I’m done. I made up my mind, I would NEVER go back to the pain management clinic, to be treated so harshly and I was not going to a methadone clinic either. I was doing what was prescribed, nothing more or less, but made to feel I was wrong. We came home and looked how many I had left, and started praying. That day it started, I immediately dropped off 10mg for two weeks. I had enough left to do a 7-8 week “Taper” dropping 5mg every week. Nobody would help me, I had to look up everything on my own, and do it without any medical supervision.
Before this sounds less like a celebration and more like a pity party, I am happy to finally announce, I finished my taper exactly 2 weeks ago Friday. 2 days after taking the last one, my wife and I thanked God for helping, because he has and we flushed the few that were left, just to be done.
That’s why I’ve been and still will be MIA for a bit, I’m in the middle of withdrawals and honestly just don’t feel up to much. Not only withdrawals, but now ALL the pain that was to some extent contained, is now fully awake. But I crossed the finish line, my mind and body just need to catch up.
Thanks for reading, you are all truly the nicest people I have met online!
Cheers Tony, thanks for celebrating with me!
