Friday Morning smoke. San Cristobal Seleccion Del Sol Fireplug...4.5x50. Years out of production and this is still my top choice of Pepin Garcia's more potent cigars, age sure didn't diminish this cigar.

@CentralTimeSmoke mine got here quick, so I decided to light one and give you a brake down literally ROTT.
Cold draw - pool chlorine and cardboard box.
First third - ammonia and light pepper.
Second third - lightly sweet and a general savory saltiness. I think this is the caramel they were talking about in the review.
Final third - sourdough and a light spice finish like cinnamon or cardamom.
Construction - good but kind of loose using a perfect cutter. Biting down on the head (insert joke here) helped a lot, so next time I'll try a punch . Ash is light and falls one inch a time, but not flaky. Smoke time 1 hour and 6 minutes, but should be longer with a punch cut.
Final thoughts - at $2 a stick these over deliver on complexity and construction, but lack body. All flavors are very light and have a short finish, which might be really good for a refined palate or a new smoker. Sucked the smoke out of a Hoyo de Monterey Excalibur yesterday while floating down a river on a tube.

Bobalu Boxer limited reserve. Needs more rest to honest but if ya like twang and tongue numbing spice this is your cigar. Spent over an hour walking while I smoked this thing so it burns nicely, set it aside to do some parts shopping and to mail a package, it did not go out.
