Did my first smoke yesterday and have to say no real complaints. Started with a couple chimneys of charcoal to get to temp them used straight maple cut from a back yard tree. Held a fairly steady 250-260 and fairly even cook zone with some broiler pans laid across the bottom of the grill for a heat dispersion. We'll see how it holds up and if it's just as good when the cooler weather hits but compared to the old charcoal BBQ I was using before it's great.Quote:
