It was a disappointment. Never did burn right and kept going out. Didn't draw good when it was lit. The flavor was substandard - tasted kind of green or undercured.Quote:

Had to try one of those J.C. Newman #49 cigars I picked up the other day. It started with a little mild flavor that was nice was quickly become like breathing air. Figured I’d see if it worked with an IPA as it seems most cigars taint the hop flavor. Seems it was the one redeeming quality other than being purchased at a real bargain price.

Midday Sunday. San Cristobal Seleccion Del Sol Fireplug...4.5x50. One of the very few remaining. My favourite cigar in this short size and so large a ring gauge. Started with a less noticeable pepper note, that increased a lot somewhere at the first quater or third then from there to the very short nub everything was first rate. I reckon thiese Pepins with the additional years of age have hit their peak, and think that after another six months, two years a good deal of their taste may be fading. Not going to let that happen.
