True Derelict
2014 a Herencia Cubana Oscuro Fuerte Toro with coffee, light, on a remarkably pleasant day that started out muggy and is now 73 degrees and relatively dry.
I really like the Belicoso in this line. The flavor is dissipated in this size and it lacks the deep, dark fruit of the belicoso. Their wrapper and aroma (unsmoked) are similar, but the smoking experience is not.

Lost no more
Tried to hold off on smoking this gem for awhile. Oliva serie V no.4 Petit Corona...5x43.Tried but kept seeing it looking lonely, last of a trio I'd gotten from Cardinal. Purely as an act of mercy figured it only right to let it rejoin it's buddies, set alight and now enjoying smoking it,fully convinced that a few more of them shall soon find their way into the humidor. Tim you've convinced me that these V's are must have smokes.

(year unknown) Gurkha Torpedo (series unknown) with Diet Pepsi no ice, evening getting muggy again.
These are the sticks that my neighbor gave me. Not bad, not realy good. CT wrapper, decently aged tobacco but they were dry and I'm smoking them because 2 had their wrappers split even at 68rh. Wish I could give more details.

2008 Paisano Double Corona (6-1/2" x 48) (EMS, made in DR) with coffee light on a beautiful day.
Another JR pump and dump, first box was good so I ordered 8 more that weren't. Cooked these by accident, using them to hold up other boxers in the humidor. I gave 2-3 boxes of them to golf smoker friends of mine who appreciate anything north of a White Owl.
Just opened the box so it's part of the lesser stock.
Examining the sticks there are inconsistencies in fill and construction. between sticks Just adequate construction. Burn is acceptable with a flat and mostly even line.
Mild to medium, flavors quite smooth. Dominican dry creaminess with some leather, dashed with earth, underneath and just the right amount of salt on top. Snork is light but with a hint of spice (peppered nutmeg). Salt builds in intensity in the second half of the smoke and it is proving to be long burning.
The flavors work together very well and it's far more complex than it ever indicated it could be in the past (last tried @2010). A very nice morning smoke that reminds me of a lighter bodied Jose Piedras (Cuban) but not sharp or rough but with more complexity. Just the first cigar but so improved that I noted it and more when I smoke others. The Paisano doesn't look the part but it's a nice Cubanesque dash of flavor from a most unexpected source.
Apparently the trick was 8 years of aging!

Waiting on the dishwasher so I can get to brewing what I call a Texas Mild. Reading on British brew forums this sounded good, but over there a strong one runs around 3.8% which is a bit too weak for me. And here in Texas we don't do weak too well so my version will be 5% which is weak enough.
What's better than a smoke while you wait? Pulled out a Casa de Garcia sent in a trade by @BlueDevil007.
I like the flavor of this one! Thanks Farrell!
